Redefining the role of women from Home makers to Nation makers.
Women are well equipped to strike a balance between home and work responsibilities. They are creators and would keep creating newness in different areas and would add new dimensions to old ones. The only reason which is making them lag behind in business world is that they are so family oriented and place their family and feelings above anything.
Skills of women
Women already possess Negotiating skills, purchasing skills, Managerial skills, finance and accounting skills as they manage their homes everyday effectively. They have natural inclination to relationship building which proves very helpful in building customer relationship.
My workshop context is ‘Turning homemakers into Business women’.
Middle Aged women
I am especially interested in women of middle age who have ample of free time as their grown up children have either got married or doesn’t have much time for parents because of their high career demands and aspirations. I want to encourage this section of society in particular who have enough resources, time, but are low in confidence and courage to take up a new project to occupy themselves constructively. They ended up feeling depressed and gloomy, develop various health issues, got too much emotionally involved with their children who are hardly available for them.
This section is full of energy, aspires to make difference to their life and other’s life with their work. Some guidance through Women Entrepreneurship Development Program would make them achieve new goals and would bring satisfaction and happiness.
